Select the flights you are interested in on the Air India website or Air India mobile app.
Enter the Gift Card number and pin that you will receive in your email after completing the purchase of a Gift Card.
If the booking amount equals or exceeds the available credit on the Gift Card, the Gift Card will be fully used until it has no remaining value.
If your Gift Card amount is lower than the booking amount, you can make up the difference by paying the additional amount using any credit card accepted by Air India on the Air India website or mobile app. Gift Card cannot be clubbed with any other form of payment if redemption is being done through the Air India Contact Centre.
Air India E-Gift Card
Issuer and Usage
- Air India is the issuer and redeeming entity for Gift Cards.
- Gift Cards can be purchased only through the platform and in Indian currency (INR).
- They can be used to buy Air India tickets and ancillary products on the Air India website and mobile app.
Purchase and Payment
- Gift Cards can be purchased using a credit card or debit card.
- They are available in denominations between INR 1,000 and INR 2,00,000.
- Other payment modes like credit cards can be used along with Gift Card redemption on Air India's website and mobile app.
Validity and Redemption
- Gift Cards are valid until the date mentioned and cannot be extended.
- They cannot be redeemed through offline channels like airport ticketing centers.
- They cannot be redeemed for group travel.
- Travel agents are not permitted to purchase or use Gift Cards.
Transferability and Restrictions
- Gift Cards are fully transferable but cannot be resold.
- A maximum of three (3) Gift Cards can be used in a single transaction.
- They cannot be exchanged, refunded, or canceled once issued.
Refunds and Transaction Failures
- If a transaction fails, the amount will be refunded to the same Gift Card within 24 hours.
- In case of cancellations, if the Gift Card is still valid, the amount will be refunded to the same card.
- If the Gift Card has expired at the time of refund processing, no refund will be issued.
Liabilities and Responsibilities
- Air India is not responsible for unauthorized use of Gift Cards.
- Users must maintain confidentiality of their Gift Card details.
- Air India may withdraw, modify, suspend, or cancel any Gift Card at its discretion.
Warranty Disclaimer
- Gift Cards are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- Air India disclaims all warranties, including those related to merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Indemnification and Liability
- Users agree to indemnify Air India against any losses, claims, or damages arising from misuse of the Gift Card.
- Air India's liability is limited to the value of the Gift Card.
Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
- These terms are governed by Indian law, with courts in Delhi having exclusive jurisdiction.
- Disputes will be resolved through arbitration in Delhi, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- Arbitration proceedings will be conducted in English.
